Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. They help us deliver essential features (like secure authentication), remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with our services so we can keep improving them.

How we use cookies

• Strictly necessary: Required for the platform to function securely, including the hanya_session cookie that maintains your login across pages.
• Functional: Help us remember preferences such as language, accessibility, and saved searches to personalise your learning experience.
• Analytics: Provide aggregated insights into how learners use Hanya, helping us improve content quality and performance.
• Marketing: Used sparingly to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and communicate relevant updates about new classes and content.

Managing your preferences

You control how non-essential cookies are used. When you first visit Hanya, we present a clear choice to accept all cookies or keep only the ones that are strictly necessary. You can revisit those decisions at any time by opening our Cookie Settings page.

If you prefer, you can also adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Please note that doing so may impact essential functionality like staying signed in or saving coursework progress.

Third-party cookies

Some analytics and embedded services we rely on (for example video playback, live session technology, or advertising partners) may set their own cookies. We only enable these services after you have granted consent to the relevant categories, and we require our partners to respect applicable data protection laws.

Keeping this policy up to date

We review this policy whenever we introduce new functionality or engage new trusted partners. Any material changes will be communicated through the platform and reflected here with an updated effective date. We encourage you to revisit this page regularly.
